Orange Cake


Actually, this one is a postponement project. I was willing to make this orange cake after reading the recipe, however no urge to do so. Since today is my birthday, so i have a reason now:)


Having checking things up to make sure all the ingredients needed were available, i started baking.


It only took 15 minutes preparing the dough before put them on the oven. Even you merely need a whisk to mix the ingredients.


The orange filling blends with almond powder (mixed in the cake dough) making this cake taste so yummmmy, mmmmm...

Play with Plastic Icing


Last weekend i took a day course "Decorating with Plastic Icing/Fondant" held by OrangeKitchen.


The difference decorating with butter cream and fondant is in the final result. With fondant, the decoration remains stiff and firm. So it is nearly 100% safe to deliver, especially for long delivery.


Decorating with fondant is just like playing dough when we were kid. Though, it needs lots of imagination and creation since fondant enable us to create 3D things. Or, we just can combine both butter cream and fondant.

I learnt many things from the fondant course. Enjoy!
